New to climbing? Then this is a great place to start!

The Quick Start Program is comprised of 3 sessions.
-The first session is the Basic Skills Class where you will learn how to put on a harness, tie knots, and how to belay so you can climb safely in the gym.
-The second session is a day at the gym for you to take your belay test and practice your newly learned skills unsupervised. You can come in for the second session at your convenience.
-The third session is a technique clinic to introduce you to movement skills on the wall.
When reserving your space you will be asked to choose a day to take the Basic Skills class (first session) and then to choose a day to take the Intro to Climbing class (third session). It is recommended that you have at least one week between these 2 sessions so you will have time to come in and practice. You will not have to choose a date for the second session since this session is at your convenience.

Want to use our facilities on your own? Our Basic Skills class will teach you the essential safety skills needed to climb at a Sportrock facility. You’ll learn to properly put on a harness, tie into the rope and belay for a partner. You can then use our facilities without the aid of an instructor. Pre-registration is required.
Learn everything you'll need to know to get started bouldering with confidence! This class will teach you to understand the bouldering scale, how to sequence boulder "problems", how to move efficiently on the wall, how to spot, how to fall, and most importantly how to enjoy bouldering!
Intimidated by the number of males that you see “Bouldering” at the climbing gym, but want to try it out? Join our Intro to Bouldering for Women Class! Bouldering allows you to focus on the movement of your body on the rock, without the involvement of ropes. It promotes strength, balance, and confidence, while also building trust and camaraderie among friends. Bouldering can be a great start and foundation for new climbers as well as a fast road to overall improvement for any level of climber. This class with give you the building blocks you need to start Bouldering as well as the basic safety guidelines. If you are new to climbing and want to try bouldering, this is a great class for you.
After your first two Quick Start sessions – Basic Skills and your return practice visit – there's one more class! Our last session is a practical introduction to the "art" of climbing. You'll learn how to best contact the wall; plan your climbs one move at a time; and what all the tape, numbers, and terms mean. In addition, we'll familiarize you with our spectacular bouldering area! All in all, after this class, you're well on your way to becoming a better climber.
